It's time for an elevated bike path project.

In the year 1900 Horace Dobbins built an elevated bike path to connect Pasadena to Los Angeles. It was called The California Cycleway! Unfortunately only 1.3 miles were built before people lost interest and the project was abandoned. But now we're all interested again and shouting from the bike lanes, "It's time for an elevated bike path project in the Burbank Rancho Equestrian district!"

Our main objective is to build an elevated bike path over Riverside drive through the entirety of the Burbank Rancho Equestrian District. At a cost estimate of approximately $62.7 million dollars this will be the largest project the city of Burbank has undertaken in 35 years.

Because of the large cost, the project will be split into 2 phases. The first phase, outlined in purple above, covers most of the rancho district. Then a second phase will do the impossible and build an extreme elevation bike path over the 134 freeway! This will allow us to also serve our neighbors in the western Rancho neighborhood.

Imagine how much fun you'll have cruising along the tree tops!

Wow! All those cars down below will be jealous when they see you soaring above the 134 on the extreme elevation bike path that connects western rancho.

Tell city council that you support the elevated bike path project.

Note: There will be absolutely no walking on the elevated bike path.
